Prohibition of Mixed Medical Treatment
Mixed medical treatment is not available at Kochi Medical Center.
‘Mixed medical treatment’ refers to a combination of insured and non-insured treatments (except for advanced medical treatments) throughout the treatment process of the same disease (including side effects), and is prohibited by law (Health Insurance Act).If you have received non-insured treatment at another medical institution, insured treatment related to the disease is therefore unavailable at Kochi Medical Center.
That is, when you received a non- insured treatment, you will bear all costs for the related treatments without the aid of health of insurance.
Please note that it is illegal to intentionally seek mixed medical treatments. We ask for your understanding and cooperation.
